😅😅😅 bebop lesson jazz piano please
OK will do!
Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Great lesson, may the blues be with you too Jonathan!
Great to hear from you! Hope you're having a wonderful summer!!
A question for the Crown Victoria interceptor is the same??
Outstanding, this is an area of jazz piano that most players are unable to articulate; the dynamic nuances you’ve described are fantastic; keep up the great tutorials🎶😎
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent! thank you as always, wish I lived in NY to study.
I'm always available by Zoom
hey angel, you really should spin your belt buckle around to your side. so you don't scratch fenders. i'm amazed your boss didn't mention that to all the employees at a morning meeting lol
Actually, customers pay Angel extra to custom engrave their car with his belt buckle while he's fixing it. Let's see you try that!
Great lesson as always, fingering, dynamics, pedaling you name it!
Delighted I can be of service, and please feel free to share anything you're practicing.
Thanks for the excellent info.
Glad it was helpful!
put a round black sticker over the knob so the line will no longer be visible.....as one of the comments stated....its meant to be a digital selector knob....not an analogue one.
Those are digital knobs not analog. Totally normal behavior
Great lesson. Enjoyable delivery.
Glad you enjoyed it!
man that's a bitch to replace tho lol, especially with pollen season keeps clogging it up, no?
It harder to replace your lungs :-)
Thanks. Great lesson.
What are you working on at home?
Great Video. I just ordered a cabin air filter from your link on Pony Parts.
Thank you for sharing. I have a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis LS and have wondered what can be done to add a cabin air filter especially since we live in an area of the San Joaquin Valley that has very dirty air.
Great lesson as always maestro!
Grazie!
Very useful lesson as always! Please more gospel songs and primary chords!
No nice to see you Francesco!
Thanks. Enjoying the topics.
That was fun.
Thanks Mike and Happy New Year!
Tom Lehrer was a true Genius. Much wonderful music from Tom. Thank you.
Well, there's a new Tom Lehrer song for Christmas I hope you like!
Oops..That was the week that was
Always loved Leher..loved his work on TWTWTW THIS WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS
I have a new Tom Leher song this week for Christmas!
Great lesson as always!! What voicing and how many notes did you play when you sang “simultaneously going up the scale”?
Hi Franceso, I'm always happy to hear from you!
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you sir!
"Sir" was my father. Just call Mister. :-)
How come people are not teaching us Chaunuka songs? Somewhat kidding Jonathan! Good to learn from you again!
Good to have you back! Don't forgot I'm available if you need personalized service! And I have plenty of Chanukah songs to share.
@@1bigmacha-thePianoLesson I’ll let you know. Thank you so much!
Quite enjoyable!
It's great to hear from you again!
Thanks. Great lesson and entertaining conversation.
Let me know if you had any success with your practice.
Unbelievable Lesson!
Believe it! Thanks for your kindness, Francesco :-)
Great job just bought a crown Victoria is leaking water on passenger side under the glove compartment. Is this gasket for that? Thanks appreciate
Yes, the gasket raises up the filter and should prevent water from leaking into the car. The stock screen also has a gasket though mine was worn out and had a hole in it. Though I'm NOT a mechanic, from my limited experience your leak is likely coming from somewhere else: drain under the cowl clogged with leaves, clogged condensation hose, or perhaps a bad heater core (check for antifreeze or water). Here's my idea for a homemade filter: Cut some window screen slightly larger than the kidney shaped stock screen. Cut some flat filter media to the inner dimension of the stock screen. Place the larger window screen underneath the smaller filter media to keep it from falling into the hole. Screw down the stock screen and you're done. Be sure to inspect and replace the gasket on the stock screen if it's old and failing.
That is probably your heater core bud.
Thanks very inspirational. I would put Thelonious in the list of great striders too.
Yes, Monk came from the stride tradition. Also, heavily influenced by music from the West Indies
Best stride piano lesson ever!
I'm not gonna argue :-)
Thank you, Guitar player singer songwriter at 62 beginning my piano journey, excellent lessons.
Glad to be of service and hope I can help in the future.
Great lesson maestro!
I've always wanted to be called maestro! :-)
Thanks.
You're quite welcome!
Great lesson diminished study is important. Thanks
Augmenting your understanding of diminished :-)
It would be nice to see a picture of your car.
Your lessons are clear as your alcohol cleaned board! Also Chisa by Abdullah Ibrahim is only primary chords like St. Thomas and has the same easy going but powerful and spiritual mood! This lesson was illuminating for me as I am not a jazz musician but more a songwriter, please some more!
I didn't know Chisa. Thanks for the great suggestion! It would make a great medley.
Thanks. I enjoy your presentation style.
Thanks for your encouragement!
I love your teaching in an animalistic way 😂
Rest assured that I've had all my shots.
Thanks.
My pleasure!
As someone who went to college for music, this was amazing to watch. Tetra chords were discused for about 5 mins then on to 7th chords. Tonal Harmony was rushed and never very logical in application. Thank you sir, I wish i was taught this approach versus having to memorize all my key signatures by rote.
After decades of teaching I knew there had to be a better way! 4ths are your friend!
Unbelievable lesson! From the 4 similar tetrachords to the 3 enharmonic keys to the scale fingerings, never seen them explained better than this!
It makes me feel great to know that I'm helping someone!
Good stuff... Thanks.
You ain't seen nothin' yet! :-)
Yay! I'm learning from Jonathan Eder again. Glad to see that you have made it through the height of Covid and teaching still Jonathan.
Hi Rachel! Glad to know your still playing piano!! Yes, I survived the pandemic so far but my cousin Hal wasn't so lucky. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hal_Willner Stay safe it's not over yet.
Barry Harris would be very happy of your lesson! Thanks 🙏
Thanks, I miss Barry. Apparently, you could never mention Bill Evans around him :-)
@@1bigmacha-thePianoLesson Yes he was very strict, you better not mention modes and free jazz either :)
Thank you sir for such a detailed and clear explanation of this lesson, this will for sure will help my understanding of the major scales.
I'm delighted you found this lesson helpful and let me know if I can of further assistance!
Best introduction to jazz ever! Especially the 251 drills!
Thanks for your enthusiasm and keep up the good work!
Consider arranging your whiteboard square not at these oblique angles as it’s kinda a bit funky
Thanks for being so direct :-) I agree, it's a compromise. What would you specifically suggest? More importantly, what did you learn from the lesson?
@@1bigmacha-thePianoLesson have a look what others are doing. Maybe iPad video, second camera - get creative. Reinforcing the concept of scales rather than chords is good to be reminded of as that’s how you should prob visualise music, certainly on the piano. Good luck
sounds amazing!
Thanks for sharing! Was there anything in particular that made an impression on you?
@@1bigmacha-thePianoLesson Yes. Youre quick style of delivery. quickly getting to the point. Then, tons of ideas. I have started using them already. It was just packed with great stuff. And you are an excellent player.
